Introduction

Similar as APAX-5002, APAX-5001 modules are backplane modules, offering communication and power to APAX-5000 I/O modules inserted on it. APAX-5001 always serves as the last backplane when module number is odd.

They have also passed UL 508 certification, demonstrating that they are suitable for safe operation in industrial environments. In order to protect the devices from overloading, voltage spikes and short-circuits the APAX-5343 and APAX-5343E include an auto-recovery mode which ensures they’ll continue to work normally in the event of an electrical problem.
