ControlLogix Redundancy Modules

Bulletin 1756 ControlLogix® Redundancy Modules support slcpowersupplyfully redundant controller architectures with no additional programming required. Programs are cross-loaded automatically from the primary to the secondary controller. The primary automatically updates the secondary with data changes to maintain controller synchronization. If the primary fails, control switches to the secondary automatically, and highest priority functions are guaranteed a ‘bumpless transfer.' Controller redundancy is transparent to any devices connected over an EtherNet/IP™ or ControlNet™ network. Select the ControlLogix extreme environment redundancy module for applications that must run in extreme environments

Leverage Enhanced Diagnostics from New ControlLogix Redundancy Modules

The latest ControlLogix™ redundancy products deliver significant performance improvements and enhanced diagnostics.

The 1756-RM2 and 1756-RM2XT redundancy modules:

  • Deliver higher data throughput rates, which results in less scan-time impact
  • Provide up to 1 GB fiber speeds, resulting in faster crossloads
  • Offer redundant fiber channels, so there is no single point of failure
  • Feature an enhanced diagnostic display (used with the Redundancy Module Configuration Tool) that reduces troubleshooting time
  • Offer compatibility with all firmware revisions and communication modules that support the 1756-RM modules
  • Use the same fiber cables as the 1756-RM modules
