ControlLogix I/O

Bulletin 1756 ControlLogix® I/O modules provide a full range of digital,  slcpowersupplydiagnostic digital, analog, motion control, and specialty I/O to meet your application needs. You can use any of the I/O modules in the local chassis of a ControlLogix controller or in a chassis linked to a ControlLogix controller across ControlNet™ or EtherNet/IP™ networks.

Increase Production Capacity & Minimize System Response Time with New I/O Modules

1756 ControlLogix Chassis-Based I/O

The latest additions to the ControlLogix® I/O family deliver significant performance improvements. When used in combination, these three new high-speed I/O devices provide peer-to-peer I/O control with nominal screw-to-screw speed less than 100µS, independent of the controller.

1756-IB16IF Fast 24v DC Input Module

  • Recognizes input transitions in less than 25µS
  • Provides per-point CIP Sync time-stamping with ± 4µS accuracy
  • Offers input pattern matching to provide more flexibility in triggering event tasks
  • Captures input pulses as low as 10µS

1756-OB16IEF Fast 24v DC Output Module

  • Responds to system transition commands in less than 25µS
  • Provides configurable durations for fault mode output behavior
  • Offers integrated per-point pulse width modulation

1756-LSC8xIB8I 24v DC Low-speed Counter

  • Provides eight 40KHz counters as an economical solution for applications requiring multiple counters
  • Returns accumulated counts, average and instantaneous frequency, and pulse widths
  • Provides 8 isolated inputs for general purpose use or for counter control functions
  • Includes 2 output windows that you can define in either frequency or counts

Accessories

We offer a variety of accessories for your ControlLogix® I/O modules, including:

  • Chassis
  • Power supplies
  • Removable terminal blocks

I/O Wiring Accessories

Our I/O wiring and conversion systems provide faster installation, fewer wiring errors, and simplified troubleshooting for your Allen-Bradley® I/O.

  • Interface modules (IFMs, AI FMs), pre-wired cables, and ready-to-wire cables replace terminal blocks, reducingpoint-to-point wiring
  • IFMs let you add terminations, status indicators, and over-current protection for your I/O

Features

  • Mounts in a ControlLogix® chassis
  • Requires either a removable terminal block (RTB) or a Bulletin 1492 wiring interface module (IFM) to connect all field-side wiring
  • Inherent time-stamping capabilities for sequence of events (SOE) applications
  • Comprehensive I/O diagnostics for detection of both system and field-side failures
  • Removal and insertion under power (RIUP) for ease of maintenance
  • Electronic keying to help prevent replacement errors
  • I/O wizards in RSLogix 5000 programming software enable quick and easy module configuration
