Large Control Systems

Allen Bradley Large Control Systems fit your most demanding application needs. They offer modular architectures and a range of I/O and network options. These powerful control solutions deliver world-class capabilities for all disciplines, from process to safety to motion. Designed for distributed or supervisory control applications, Allen Bradley large programmable automation controllers (PACs) and programmable logic controllers (PLC) provide exceptional reliability and performance

1756 GuardLogix Integrated Safety System

GuardLogix® Integrated Safety Systems provide the benefits of standard ControlLogix® systems, plus safety features that support SIL 3 safety applications. GuardLogix safety controllers offer integrated safety, discrete, motion, drive and process control, as well as seamless connectivity to plant-wide information systems, all in the same controller. Use EtherNet/IP™ or ControlNet™ networks for safety interlocking between GuardLogix controllers. Connect field devices over EtherNet/IP or DeviceNet™ networks.

 1756 ControlLogix Control System

ControlLogix® systems use a common control engine with a common development environment to provide high performance in an easy-to-use environment. Tight integration between the programming software, controller, and I/O modules reduces development time and cost at commissioning and during normal operation. You can perform standard and safety control in the same chassis for a truly integrated system. Leverage the high-availability and extreme environment capabilities to meet your application needs.

SoftLogix Control System

Our SoftLogix™ controllers use a common control engine with a common development environment to provide high performance in an easy-to-use environment. A typical SoftLogix system uses a virtual chassis application that houses controllers and communication modules, which interface with other Logix controllers and I/O modules. I/O simulator modules in the virtual chassis make application debugging and system start-up easier.

GuardPLC Control System with Safety

Our GuardPLC™ Controller family offers superior speed in PLC throughput and network functionality. These controllers meet worldwide PLC standards and global standards for functional safety. This family is ideal for sensing speed, direction, zero-speed, temperature, pressure and flow applications. These controllers communicate on a Safe Ethernet communications network that is TÜV-certified for use in safety applications up to EN954 Category 4 and SIL 3.

PLC-5 Control System

Bulletin 1785 PLC-5® programmable logic controllers (PLCs) offer flexibility in programming, network, and I/O. Designed for larger sequential and regulatory control applications with specialized I/O requirements, PLC-5 control systems bring together existing and new systems through networks such as EtherNet/IP™, ControlNet™, and DeviceNet™.  Embedded network ports in PLC-5 controllers enable connectivity to a wide range of devices including MicroLogix™, SLC™ 500, CompactLogix™, and ControlLogix® controllers, letting you expand your control system without additional training investments.

Chassis

Bulletin 1746 SLC™ 500 Power Supplies provide power to installed controllers or adapters and I/O modules in an SLC chassis. Seven power supplies support a range of AC and DC input voltages.

SLC 500 Communications

Bulletin 1747 SLC™ 500 Communication Interface Modules let you add another communication port to the SLC 500 controller. This adds network capability beyond the available on-board ports. Some modules provide an interface between a port on the controller and another communication link with a different protocol. Other modules communicate with the SLC processor over the system backplane.

SLC 500 Controllers

Bulletin 1747 SLC™ 500 controllers provide a range of choices in memory, I/O capacity, instruction set, and communication ports to let you tailor a control system to your exact application requirements. Our controllers have a strong reliability history covering hundreds of thousands of installations in a broad range of applications.

SLC I/O

Bulletin 1746 SLC™ I/O provides a full range of digital, analog, and specialty I/O for a wide variety of applications. You can use the I/O modules in a local I/O chassis of an SLC 500 controller. Or, use an I/O communication adapter module to place I/O in a chassis at a location remote from the controller.

SLC 500 Power Supplies

Bulletin 1746 SLC™ 500 power supplies provide power to installed controllers or adapters and I/O modules in an SLC chassis. Seven power supplies support a range of AC and DC input voltages.

Programmable Controllers

Allen Bradley control solutions set the standard — from the original programmable logic controller (PLC) invented in the 1970s to the technology embodied in the scalable, multi-disciplined and information-enabled programmable automation controller (PAC). Allen Bradley safety-certified controllers support your SIL 2 and SIL 3 application needs. Allen Bradley offer multiple controller types and sizes to fit your specific needs.
