CompactLogix 5370 Controllers

Bulletin 1769 CompactLogix™ 5370 Controllers are ideal for small to mid-size machines and provide the benefits of Integrated Architecture™ for lower-cost machines. When combined with Kinetix® 350 servo drives, these controllers provide a strong motion solution for customers who require high performance in a compact and affordable package. These controllers expand on the scalability of the Logix family and share common features across all three platforms, including support for Integrated Motion on EtherNet/IP™ and Device Level Ring (DLR) for enhanced network resiliency.

CompactLogix L4x & L4xS Controllers

Bulletin 1768 CompactLogix and Compact GuardLogix® controllers are ideal for small to mid-size applications that require safety, motion, and/or complex communications. They use the same RSLogix™ 5000 programming software that other Logix controllers use, so you can easily duplicate and scale existing programs to run on the CompactLogix and Compact GuardLogix platforms. These controllers offer integrated serial, EtherNet/IP, or ControlNet™ channels; and modular DeviceNet™ communications. They support as many as 30 I/O modules and as many as 16 motion axes.

CompactLogix L23x & L3x Controllers

Bulletin 1769 CompactLogix controllers are ideal for small to mid-size control applications that don’t require motion or safety functionality. They use the same RSLogix 5000 programming software that other Logix controllers use, so you can easily duplicate and scale existing programs to run on the CompactLogix platform. These controllers offer integrated serial, EtherNet/IP, or ControlNet channels; and modular DeviceNet communications.

Compact I/O

The Bulletin 1769 Compact I/O™ modules can be used as local and distributed I/O for a CompactLogix or MicroLogix™ 1500 controller. Select from a variety of digital, analog and specialty modules. The 16- and 32-point modules provide high-density I/O in a small package. A built-in removable terminal block provides connections to I/O sensors and actuators. I/O wiring can be routed from beneath the module to the I/O terminals.

Motion

Bulletin 1769 CompactLogix 5370 controllers support Integrated Motion on EtherNet/IP. The CompactLogix 1768-L4x controllers and the Compact GuardLogix 1768-L4xS controllers support integrated motion through the 1768 SERCOS™ interface modules.

Communications

Bulletin 1768 and 1769 CompactLogix and Compact GuardLogix communication modules help you configure your system to exchange information between operating systems and a range of devices and platforms. You can select a CompactLogix or Compact GuardLogix controller with built-in communication ports, or select a coordinating communications module for the networks that meet your needs.

Power Supplies

Bulletin 1768 CompactLogix Power Supplies and Bulletin 1769 Compact I/O Expansion Power Supplies help keep your system running smoothly. Select power supplies based on the controller and the number of additional I/O banks you're using. Packaged controllers (1769-L23x, 1769-L16, 1769-L18, 1769-L24, 1769-L27) do not require power supplies because each controller package includes an integrated power supply.

Small Control Systems

The perfect solution for your mid-range applications, Allen Bradley small controllers offer the features and flexibility you need without the overhead of larger systems. Choose from standard and safety-certified controllers in chassis-based, packaged and modular designs. Typical applications include complex machine control, batch processing and building automation.

CompactLogix Control Systems

Allen Bradley CompactLogix™ and Compact GuardLogix® controllers use a common control engine with a common development environment to provide mid-range application control in an easy-to-use environment. Tight integration between the programming software, controller and I/O modules reduces development time and cost at commissioning and during normal operation. This commonality provides cost-effective integration of a machine or safety application into a plant-wide control system because it integrates safety, motion, discrete and drive capabilities in a single controller.

CompactLogix Control Systems

Allen Bradley GuardLogix® controller is a CompactLogix™ controller that also provides safety control. As part of the Logix family, Compact GuardLogix controllers use a common control engine with a common development environment to provide high performance multi-discipline control for SIL 3 safety applications. GuardLogix Safety PACs offer integrated safety, discrete, motion, drive and process control, as well as seamless connectivity to plant-wide information systems, all in the same controller. Use EtherNet/IP™ or ControlNet™ networks for safety interlocking between GuardLogix controllers. Connect field devices over EtherNet/IP or DeviceNet™ networks.

SmartGuard 600 Controllers

Allen Bradley SmartGuard™ 600 family provides safety for applications that require complex logic and more advanced safety functionality. With the SmartGuard 600 controller as a safety master on DeviceNet™, you can use Guard I/O™ modules to expand the number of safety devices the SmartGuard 600 can control. With your choice of EtherNet/IP™ or DeviceNet, other devices such as standard PLCs and HMIs can read data from the SmartGuard 600 safety controller for system-level interlocking, diagnostics and troubleshooting.

SLC 500 Control System

Allen Bradley GuardPLC™ Controller family offers superior speed in PLC throughput and network functionality. These controllers meet worldwide PLC standards and global standards for functional safety. This family is ideal for sensing speed, direction, zero-speed, temperature, pressure and flow applications. These controllers communicate on a Safe Ethernet communications network that is TÜV-certified for use in safety applications up to EN954 Category 4 and SIL 3.
